Biobox - Caja Verde is owned and run by Cortijo Cornelio, Colmenar, Málaga, Spain.

Cortijo Cornelio works in partnership with over 70 other certified organic farmers and producers in Andalucia. Between us we produce some of the finest organic products in the world, including fresh fruit and vegetables, olives, olive oil,  dried fruits, cheeses and meats, fresh and dried culinary, aromatic and medicinal herbs, rices, pulses, preserves and general organic grocery items.

All our produce is fully certified as organic, guaranteed single estate. We work together to give our customers the freshest, highest quality product at a price you can afford in the most convenient energy-efficient way........ direct to your door.

Our team

Biobox - Caja verde manages the customer orders, payment, farm orders and organistion of collection and delivery of our organic products, via our network of organic farmers and producers.

We work together with Integra2 and Seur. to manage the logistics of fresh produce harvest, collection, packing and delivery to you in refrigerated transport.

Information

Using sophisticated B2B software we are able to plan harvests with our cooperating farmers to ensure maximum freshness and rapid delivery. Rarely will a product have been harvested more than 24hours before you receive your delivery.

Health Certification and controls

Cortijo Cornelio is registered as a food industry with the Ministerio de Salud of the Junta de Andalucia (Registro Sanitario RSI:  24.0001398/MA and RSI:  21.0024131/MA). This means that our operations are subject to the strictest standards of control and inspection.

Organic Certification and controls

Cortijo Cornelio is registered as and organic farm AND and an organic food industry with CAAE, the main organic certification authority in Andalucia (Reg No CAAE:  003546 Code Control  ES-AN-00-AE). This means that our operations are subject to international standards of control for tracibility of organic products, including routine inspection and analysis.

Fair trade policy

We endorse a strict policy of purchasing at a fair price from local producers. It is NOT our intention to maximise our profits at the cost of our colleague farmers or the sustainability of their organic farms. In all cases, we negotiate our supplies in an amicable partnership with our suppliers, which is beneficial to producers, retailers and the consumer. In the case of imported goods, we give complete priority to goods which are certified by the Fairtrade association.
