Organic Aloe Vera - Whole Fresh Leaf (x 20 leaves)

A wonderful ointment that already comes in its package. More organic we cannot get! 

How to use the leaves of this powerful medicinal and culinary plant:

First you cut off the first part of the leaf which has white skin on the upper side, because this part is bitter and doesn't contain any healing properties.

 Then cut off a slice about 1 cm thick, which you will use as a "sponge" to apply the aloe vera.

The next step is to cut off the spiny sides of the slice. Finally cut the slice into halfs and use each as part as a "sponge" to apply the aloe vera.

Tip: When the gel is used up, just scrape it with a sharp knife along the gel. You will find, that the "sponge" becomes moist again. This way you can get much more out of one piece of Aloe vera.

Another alternative is to eat Aloe Vera. It improves the working of your intestinal flora.

To do this, cut alongside the skin and create a "fillet", this can then be eaten.  It has a rather neutral taste but is extremely good for the digestion and can be combined in salads, liquidised or used in many other dishes(Yogurt etc).
