Organic Honey of Montes de Málaga 500g

From the nature reserves and biospeheres of the Montes de Malaga,  this is a truly unique wild woodland honey.

Cortijo Cornelio is in Colmenar. Colmenar means ""beehive"" and the whole area of the Montes of Malaga has been famous for its bees and honey for centuries. Colmenar houses a Honey museum and a vibrant honey industry dating back to Roman and Arab times. Here, Cornelio presents you with a unqiue organic honey, from our neighbours Finca Carvajal, whose beehives are situated in the forests of the huge forested reserves of the Montes de Malaga and  on the lands of Cortijo Cornelio.

This honey is produced by bees that live amongst the Oak and pine forests of the area of the Montes de Málaga nature reserve. It has a wonderful dark golden colour, and has a delicious scent of the woodland flowers. This is a another special honey coming from entirely protected nature reserves and it comes from a very special species of bee. Production is managed by 2 respected professional organic beekeepers. Their mission in life is to produce superb honey, protect their ancient bee species and to enhance the forests and natural environment with their bees.

Their bees are a classical Iberian species which hasn't evolved or been cross-bred. It has remained intact as a species for several million years, having survived the ice-ages of northern Europe. This is truly honey as it always tasted, from deep in the forest. Certified Organic by the CAAE
